Department of Chemistry

Faculty and Staff

Besides being handling professional courses, our faculty is also responsible for the teaching of Chemistry courses throughout the entire University. The Department also manages its laboratories, which are located in different buildings and campuses. This amounts to such a big scope of responsibility and thus requires a large team of dedicated administrators, instructors, and staff.

The Department is administered by a Chair, assisted by an Assistant Chair and a Head of Laboratories. Capable faculty and staff support the administrators in managing the Department. A secretary organizes the Department office while a faculty adviser also helps the students. Content specialists often provide input into the development of courses while other members of the faculty are tasked to develop specific lecture and laboratory courses. Managing the individual laboratories are the Laboratory In-Charge personnel. The Storeroom In-Charge is also responsible for the centralized inventory and dispensing of laboratory ware and chemicals.
