Student’s Life

If you enjoyed mixing shampoo, toothpaste, ketchup, and your mom’s cologne into some stinking goo back when you were still small, you’ll probably love it here in the Chemistry Department. Nerds here don’t mix powerpuff formulas with everything nice, though. But yes, they do have lots of fun in their lab gowns. And they never give up fancying how they can save the world with a little help of science.

Our future chemists also get to bond with other young scientists in the other departments which are also housed in the Arnoldus Science Complex located at the 80-hectare Talamban Campus. You’ll easily make friends with those Physics guys who dream of discovering a new planet someday, or those Biology majors who chase tiny insects with huge nets. Nerd bonding, outsiders may call it, but for science buffs, nothing is better company.

But if you want to stick with like minds, you just have to hang out at the Department’s student lounge which serves as the headquarters of the Chemistry Students' Association (ChemSA). It’s in this homey atmosphere of the Department that students get close attention from their teachers who share their passion for the discipline. The friendly competition in the classroom and the intimate caring environment in the Department have inspired our students to excel, a regular feat demonstrated in Board exam performance. Our students have continued to be a source of pride and joy.
