English Majors Association (EMA)

The English Majors Association is a recognized student organization created to provide English Majors with privileges and services that will develop them into well-rounded, skilled and knowledgeable persons.

Objectives

to coordinate the efforts of the Department of Languages and Literature (DOLL)
to improve the quality of the English Majors’ academic performance in particular and overall performance in general
to provide avenues of expression for English Majors’ in the fields of acting, public speaking and writing through coordination with like-minded organizations; as well as through the organization’s newsletter, contests and others
to encourage fellowship among English Majors studying in USC and eventually with English Majors from other colleges and universities by providing interactions that foster cooperation and communication
to promote interest in the Literary Art not only among English Majors but all Carolinians as well
