Facilities

The Department of Mathematics provides various facilities and equipment needed to support the academic programs. Facilities include lecture-demonstration rooms, general-purpose computer laboratories, data communication and network laboratory, digital and hardware laboratory, network control room and systems project/research room. The lecture-demo rooms are used for the different Math, CS and IT major classes. These are equipped with a computer unit, multimedia projector, overhead projector and a projector screen.

The general-purpose laboratories are used for student hands-on activities. The laboratories are equipped with the latest Pentium IV series computers, laser printers, image scanners and other peripheral equipment. The data communication and network laboratory is used for classes related to networking and data communication. This is equipped with various tools, equipment and computers.

All the computers in the laboratory and lecture-demo rooms are connected to the Local Area Network for the department. Aside from the hardware equipment, the department also has various softwares used in the different courses taught. These softwares include Microsoft XP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft C/Visual C++, Java 1.4, Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle Development Tools, Macromedia Studio, Flash, Director, CorelDraw, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop and other recently updated software versions.
