Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Program
High School Graduates
- General Average of at least 80%
- A final grade of at least 80% in English, Mathematics and Natural Sciences
- IQ test result is at least average
- English Proficiency Test result is at least average
Transferees and Shiftees
- The applicant’s IQ test result should at least be average level.
- His or her English Proficiency Test result should at least be average level.
- He or she should have no failing grade in previous Philosophy subject.
- He or she should have no rating of 5.0 or NC in more than two minor subjects.
- A transferee or shiftee who has a rating of 5.0 or NC in one or two minor subjects but has good grades in Philosophy (at least 85 percent or 2.0) is allowed enrollment on probation.
Retention Policies
- After admission to the philosophy program (AB Philo/Ph.B), each student is expected to obtain a general average grade of not lower than 2.5 in all his general education courses
- He is expected to maintain a general average grade of 2.0 for his major courses
- Two failures in major courses will disqualify a student from the program
- Three failures in the general education courses will also disqualify a student from the program
- Three NC’s in major or general education courses will also disqualify a student from the program
Policies on Returnees
- A returning student, who has stopped schooling for a year or more must have a valid reason for re-enrolling in the program
- He is enrolled on probation
- A returning student shall adopt the existing curriculum offered
