The Department of Physics has embarked on a continuing faculty and staff development scheme. A number of faculty have completed their MS/PhD studies through the University and the cooperative support of the Physics Development Project (PDP) funded by the Dutch government, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).

A number of faculty and staff are undergoing short training programs supported by the University and other local and international agencies. Most of the faculty are engaged in research and consultancies. These researches have consistently produced outputs that have found their way in national and international scientific conferences and publications.
