Overview

Integral faith formation deepens students Christian self-understanding, instills nobility of character and a sense of community, and nurtures a sense of social responsibility through participation in the missionary charism of the Society of the Divine Word – achieved through classroom discussion and research; bible enthronement and bible reading; celebrating the sacraments of reconciliation, confirmation and the Eucharist; recollections and pilgrimages; seminars, exposure and immersion.

In light of the challenges posed by the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines (PCP II), the University of San Carlos Department of Religious Education (ReEd) is aware that ReEd is “the core subject of the school curriculum, with the function of binding together all other disciples, while giving due respect to autonomy.” The Department of ReEd offers Basic Religious Education courses for all students, and Major courses for BSEd ReEd and MAEd ReEd students.
